Whisky Yeast

The original Scotch whisky yeast strain is now available in dried form. Safwhisky M-1 is recommended for the production of high quality Scotch whiskies as well as whiskies and bourbons.

Fermentis has used modern drying technology to dry traditional distiller’s yeasts to bring technological advantages to the distiller without significant changes to the congener profile of the whisky or bourbons produced. Dry yeast offers a cost-effective and technically proven alternative to conventional yeast sources.

Spirit & Neutral Alcohol Yeast

Neutral alcohol is used for the production of white spirit such as gin and vodka but also as a base for a wide range of flavoured alcoholic beverages. Alcohol for these purposes should have as little character as possible .

C-70 is a superior dried yeast for the production of a varied range of alcoholic products. This very robust strain is capable of fermenting various substrates (molasses, C-starch, grains) at different temperatures from 25C to 35C. Produces neutral alcohol in both flavour and colour.
